Smith School of Business & Economic by assisting with marketing, event planning, administrative tasks, data management, and communications. - Student Success Communication Coach (STEM Majors Only) at CSU Channel Islands: On Campus EmploymentEmployer: CSU Channel Islands: On Campus EmploymentExpires: 05/30/2025OVERVIEWHourly wage: $16.50/hourWeekly hours: 10-12 hours per weekPurpose of Position: Student Success Communication Coaches (SSCC) will support educational equity through strategic communication and student success messaging to improve the retention and persistence of CSUCI students and build community through culturally-relevant programming. SSCC’s will engage with first-time students and new transfer students via student success campaigns to encourage participation in STEM initiatives, access mental health services and attend STEM academic support activities. Through student success campaign nudges, SSCCs will help to streamline communication to targeted students and improve students retention using artificial intelligence. - Bilingual Project SOAR Outreach Mentor at CSU Channel Islands: On Campus EmploymentEmployer: CSU Channel Islands: On Campus EmploymentExpires: 05/30/2025Purpose of Position:The Project SOAR Peer Mentor position is designed to improve student engagement, retention, and success by providing extra support services to CSUCI students. These additional responsibilities will focus on targeted student outreach (e.g., registration and retention; peer advising; prospective students; social media; newly admitted students), developing workshops related to best practices in student success and culturally relevant programming, presenting to alumni and donors to increase philanthropic support, and increasing awareness and utilization of student support services on campus. Project SOAR Peer Mentors engage in targeted outreach efforts to support CSUCI students.
