This Plot-A-Thon Student Informational Lunch event invites all CI students to learn more about 2025 Plot-A-Thon Data Visualization Festival, which will be held this year on February 21 to 22, 2025.
What is the Plot-a-Thon Data Visualization Festival? It is a combination of live and on-demand workshops held in Fall and two-day Spring competition that aims to boost students’ confidence in data literacy, expand their skills in plotting and visualizing data using Excel, Tableau, R, or Python, and introduce them to ways professionals use data visualizations. There are prizes, giveaways, and networking opportunities. It’s also a great way to meet new people and make friends!
Students will hear some highlights from last year as well as ways students can participate: if you are not available to compete at the main event, students can choose to learn asynchronously via Canvas or attend Lunch & Learn workshops (in person or virtually). You can pick and choose what you want to learn and when!
Please join us for a yummy lunch and hear more about how you can learn important data literacy skills that will get you ahead when you are looking for jobs or applying for graduate school! Visit our website to see our past event schedule, speakers, and student winners!
